Although combat in Honkai: Star Rail is one of the central elements, you will likely spend more time exploring its enormous open world than fighting monsters. One moment you could be walking through a meadow that looks straight out of Middle-earth, the next you could be fighting in the corridors of what could be a Federation space station.

When exploring, you can move freely through the settings and interact with NPCs and other elements. In combat you will have several options. Or, if you prefer, you can turn on Automatic Mode so everything happens faster and you don't have to worry. The middle ground, of course, is simply to increase the speed of the fights.
